Services to Client

Fabrication, installation and welding capabilities

In September 2005, Enertrade advised that the 600 OD suction header pipe in the new Moranbah compressor station had a fracture adjacent to a pipe support.

Diversified were asked to mobilise on an urgent basis and to provide a crew that could prefabricate and pre-test a replacement section and install this during a narrow window in which the plant was to be shut down. Diversified had to secure the area and to cut out the damaged section and weld in the new prepared section.

A second similar occurrence was also successfully repaired with the same professionalism in January 2006.

This work entailed working in a “HOT” environment, constrained by operational requirements and in a restricted and confined space.

On both occasions this was achieved with the plant being placed back on line within the scheduled timeframe and to the satisfaction of the Client.

Diversified were able to work closely with Enertrade to minimise operational impacts and to complete the repairs.

Both events demonstrated Diversified’s ability to comprehend their clients’ problems and to react with the expert resources necessary to complete work in an expeditious manner.
